Why do some people react strongly against astrology and tarot cards?
I see it as just something fun, and even though I know it’s all in my own head, it’s fun to fall under the illusion. Just like watching a magic trick or looking at optical illusions. But some people just don’t see the point, and are kind of suspicious.
I’m not even talking about people with religious reasons.

i think it’s fun, too, but some ppl are just so closeminded and stuff that they cant open up even just to have a little bit of fun…

Bcuz 2 some it represents itsel as voodoo magic which many think is associated with the devil
Answer by Claire J
I think some people think of it as you dealing their fate in your hands, some people are skeptical of all kinds of magic because it somehow plays a deceptive role, making you beleive something that may not be true.
Is it ok to ask frivolous questions with my tarot cards?
I don’t use them much, but I picked them up recently and have been asking silly questions. “Should my doll eat broccoli?” stuff like that. I’ve been getting silly answers. Will this interfere with my ability to use them for serious divination?
Answer by auntb93
I think it would interfere. You would do well to learn how to clear your deck, as you would if you read someone who turned out to be disrespectful or even evil.
Answer by nickie_2free
Sure, why not? They ask silly questions on this site all the time.
Answer by froufrou

What do the clubs, stars, swords, and cups mean?
Answer by Ava ✡ Kohen
The deck usually comes with a little booklet that explains. If you don’t have one you can look it up online. It’s on a ton of different website. Just google like “how to read tarot cards” or something.
Answer by Mew
my nan can read them & taught me to do readings
Load of crap if you ask me, but when I do the idiots can really relate to it
Answer by Will Nickel
There are a good many different explanations, any one of which will suffice. As an earlier answer told you, each pack of cards comes with an explanatory booklet.
